The Best Place to Buy Flowers in Pretoria

Shhhh, it’s a secret… Or should I say it WAS a secret? Of course, after countless queries, I could no longer manage to keep my lips sealed. I know you must be thinking, “Gosh, all this fuss over flowers?”. The answer is a definite YES! As batty as it may sound, in my experience, the flowers are what brings life to the party! Reflect for a moment and ask yourself,  “Do colourful flowers lift my spirits when I am down?”. I hope the answer is yes because in my experience it doesn’t just lift my spirits, it makes my heart skip a beat! Oh, for the love of flowers…

Let’s get to it, shall we? The best place to buy flowers, in my opinion, is at Waterkloof Mini Market, Pretoria. It is located in Milner Street, right next to The Three Ducks restaurant & Meet on Milner (both are divine places to dine at). It is situated in an unexpected location and perhaps that is why it truly is a hidden gem. While you are at the store, you might as well pick up a bottle of wine for a great evening with friends or perhaps a romantic date night with your hubby – they have a wonderful wine selection available there.

The store is run by a husband & wife team who are both of great assistance, should you need any help. You can pick your own flowers and ask them to put together a beautiful bouquet for you. They usually have a lot of GORGEOUS roses at reasonable prices. They receive fresh flowers from the market on Mondays & Thursdays. I would suggest going on these days, preferably in the morning, so that you have a great variety of flowers to choose from.

Occasionally they have a bucket filled with older flowers, especially roses, that will only last for another day or so at a marked down price. Frankly, it is a bargain! If you perhaps plan on having an event the next day, then those flowers will be the perfect choice for you. The bonus is that you won’t even have to feel guilty for throwing them away after your event, because they weren’t going to see the next sunrise anyway!
